The FrontRunners Marseille are holding their first international track and field meeting with the support of the French Athletics Federation. Further information on the events (sanctioned and not) can be found in the program.

We have participants from Spain, England, Scotland, Brasil, Tunisia, Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, Lyon, Tours, and also from OM Athletisme…

Since the FFA signedthe charter against homophobia in sport in April 2011, we decided to organize an athletics meeting with the slogan ‘Against discrimination, let’s do some sports together’ (slogan FSGL) . GaySportMed is for all athletes, LGBT and straight alike! The target athletes are new and experienced amateur athletes at least 18 years old, of all genders. The meeting is aimed to all clubs, including existing LGBT French clubs : Frontrunners Paris, Lyon Frontrunners, Frontrunners Nice, Athletic Coeur de Fond (Paris), Chemin de Cimes (Montpellier). A month before the TIP of Paris and two months before the Eurogames in Budapest, it will be a great opportunity to get the first best performances of the year! Already a number of top LGBT Europeans athletes have announced their participation, for a day of running, jumping and throwing which promises to be both exciting AND FUN! GAYSPORTMED is part of our vision for the EuroPride 2013which will be held in Marseille.  2013 is also the year for which Marseille was chosen to be European Capital of Culture! Organized at the Stadium René Ancelin de Luminy, the meeting offers a unique setting of greenery in the future first Periurban National Park in Europe. During the same weekend we have in the region the Marathon des Alpes Maritimes (29 Avril) and the 10km du Conseil Général 13 (1 Mai), for an intense weekend of sport in the South of France!
